The city will host and sponsor events leading up to and on Hip Hop’s actual birthdate (August 11, 2023) in commemoration of Atlanta-based rappers, musicians, and creatives from over the past 50 years.
Join sound designer Travis Yeargans and the team from Scratch Out Loud for a crash course in music and beat production. Guests will learn about basic beat structure, equipment used and what to do with the beats once you have made them.

The event will feature gardening projects, a live DJ, local performances, community service activities and much more! Volunteers will be provided lunch and a branded t-shirt upon the conclusion of the event.
